WELCOME TO THE ROYAL OAK
The Royal Oak public house is a free house situated in the suburbs of north Sheffield. For everyone connected to the football club the pub represents the heartbeat of the community. Owned by landlord and landlady Terry and June, The Oak has been the meeting spot for players and staff for nearly 30 years. The pub caters for Christenings, weddings and funerals and hot and cold buffet options are available. The pub also hosts a small function room for up to 50 people. The pub operates under the mission statement “The Royal Oak. Nice pub, nice people, nice prices.”
Walk into the pub at any given time and you are likely to bump into Bob the Bucket, Steve, Housey or MOT Mick. Terry and June are seen as pillars of the community and fundraising is at the heart of what they do. In a time where pubs are at risk deeply affected by corporate supermarkets, the cost-of-living crisis and the rise of JD Weatherspoon’s, The Oak stands alone as an independent institution.

June’s Signature Celebration Buffet, triangle sarnies, sausage-roll medley, and her famous trifle keeps guests smiling, while our easy-to-use microphone ensures every speech hits the right note. Book early; Tuesdays fill fast!

Get your weekend started the Oak way! DJ Kev spins timeless floor-fillers under our dazzling rotating light (bulb just replaced!). Every few tracks Terry pauses the party for the Mighty Meat Draw, premium pork, lovingly wrapped in clingfilm, ready for your Sunday roast. Dancing, winning, roasting: the perfect hat-trick.
SUNDAY
POST-MATCH BUFFET
Doors open 1pm sharp, just in time to hear the lads’ match debrief over unlimited plates of wholesome favourites: cheese-and-pineapple hedgehogs, deluxe vol-au-vents and a piping-hot lasagne straight from June’s microwave. Only £4 a plate; seconds encouraged. Stick around for the 3pm raffle and maybe leave with a multi-pack of crisps.
